Villains are almost never associated with good words and life-changing lessons. But when it comes to Thanos the Mad Titan, we're sure you can pick up a thing or two from his interactions with the avengers. Here, we're recounting moments he proved that he's no way a typical antagonist you see in superhero films.
On some level, he might be right. He is the most feared supervillain for a reason. Surely, he didn't conquer planets without proving anything to the universe. But remember, no one is inevitable when it comes to the might of the Avengers.
Let's face it: With the Infinity Gauntlet in his possession, no Avenger can stop the Mad Titan from accomplishing his ultimate goal of wiping out half of the universe. Even their combined powers wouldn't stand a chance. Admit it, when he said this in Infinity War, we all knew he meant it.
Fine, let's give this gloating moment to Thanos. When he said this line in Endgame, we all felt it. And at some point, this line really hits us where it matters. We're sure you had your fair share of failure that you find hard to accept.
Unlike some villains in the MCU, Thanos isn't one to act on impulse. Difficult decisions had to be made, too. We all saw that in Infinity War and Endgame. Everything he did was carefully thought out: From collecting the Infinity Stones to destroying planets, he had everything figured out even before sets his plan in motion. And if you know Thanos well enough, then you also know that he had to muster up all courage and bravery to make this resolve.
And we do. Mr. Stark's memory will forever live on. We love you 3000!
This line is both hilarious and sobering at the same time. On the one hand, it sounds so...sexual. On the other, however, it signifies failure. We're sure you felt all sorts of sad for Thor at that moment.
Yes, he does have a point. And right when he said these lines, we knew he wasn't the typical villain we always see on paper and on screens. Yes, although his envisioned end doesn't justify his means, we can all agree that this line just proves that his intentions aren't evil.
We've said this before, we'll say it again: Thanos isn't an ordinary villain. He follows his own moral compass. He has feelings. He has goals. And just like anybody in the universe, he knows what it feels like to fail.
