"What an amazing deal! This is a nice long dense book about St. Augustine, and it's right up my alley! And on top of that, it's only 50 cents! You can't go wrong there, especially when the book is so good. I learned a lot that I didn't know about Augustine already and I recommend this choice to any Christian who loves to read!"

"I read The Imitation of Christ for a religion course in college. It is undoubtedly a classic in Christian literature and was written as a handbook for a spiritual life. It is not for those seeking an involved relationship with the world and their fellow humans, however. One's spirituality, like much else, is highly subjective. "

"I have to admit, I'm not a Rick Warren fan. I have friends who are and who admire his books. So, if you're one of those - you might want to get this. More importantly, you might consider his work 'classic.' But the truth is, I come from a different definition of classic. Along those lines, I'd be more inclined to recommend St. Augustine or even C.S. Lewis. Dietrich Bonhoeffer is more along the lines of truly 'classic' Christian literature. So, if you like the mega-church approach - get this. But for a real Christian classic, stick to the 'real classics' (or, if you want - do both). "

But without having something as essential as faith, none of the other things matter. This book is great in that it recognizes human beings are fallen, and we make mistakes. Our faith will be constantly tested and sometimes we will fail that test, but this book will help you guard yourself and be ready when the time comes. It will make you analyze your faith on a much deeper level."
