"Interesting concept.... a war veteran dies saving a life, goes to heaven, meets five people. You would think those five people would be those he loved, lived with, fought with, etc., but they're not. Makes you think about days when you've had a passing conversation with someone."

It's written in such a way that it's not tied into any particular religious practice or other doctrine. It teaches you to focus on the present, and stop worrying about the past or the future, hence the title."

"I read this very short book when I was a senior in high school getting ready to start college. It opened my eyes to the limitations that are present in society and culture and how we can overcome them, use them, and work around them as needed to accomplish anything we want. It helped guide me into the college environment with a fresh new perspective versus what I'd learned in high school. Highly recommended."

"If you are religious and looking for an inspirational story, this is the book for you. As for me, it didn't really do much for me. I am not religious at all so all the God talk didn't really inspire or move me much. Now don't get me wrong, this novel still has very human elements that I can sympathize with. It's still a very touching and thoughtful insight into the author's life, but constantly looking and talking to God for answers didn't personally inspire me. If that stuff sounds like it's up your alley then definitely check it out. I think you will enjoy it even though I personally could not relate."
