"What a story! Especially for a father with an 11-year-old daughter like me. I would not know if I had the guts to do what he did and save his daughter. I sill have goosebumps in my arms but I want to post this comment already!"

"A bibliography by Sabine Dardenne, this is the thrilling story of her survival through abuse under one of Belgium's most notorious psychopath. However, it was a difficult read, and I find myself stopping many times. It is not a very well-written book. Despite that, it was very informative, and extremely visual. I applaud her for her bravery in writing this book, but I would suggest a revision for the next edition. It is a good read for someone looking to learn more about the victims of captivity. "

"So there is a real-life foxy character huh. Nice entertaining read, especially the part where he plotted and executed his escape from prison. He was very creative. I am sure many of my friends will enjoy this book too. I'll link them to this list.  "

"Some stories are really incredible, like this one, but this one was so nicely written it sounded so true. I researched some and saw it happened, according to firsthand sources, but the details about the real people involved in the trek is a little controversial.  "
