"To be honest...while this is rather good I did prefer the Chronicles of Narnia over this. Chronicles had a definitive story-line, world, and over-arching rule-set while this has a...well very loose grasp on realistic themes. Supernatural themes, mysterious parental figures, and secret powers are all present here and while, at times, it works...sometimes it really doesn't which holds it back."

"Grave Witch (Alex Craft) is far from the best urban fantasy series. The story is predictable. It feels like I've read this a hundred times already because it doesn't bring anything new to the genre."

"The blood suckers are back. Guilty Pleasures is another vampire novel in a world polluted with them. Novels that is not vampires. The story takes place in St. Louis, a city not often known for its vampires. That honor belongs to New Orleans where funky religions and cults reign. But vampire stories are always fun so if you are inclined to enjoy reading about people dying and serial unexplained murders then you'll enjoy this book. You'll get you hunger fix."

I think the author just wanted to rush this book after becoming the best seller because of the first book.
