"This book was never meant to be "vegan friendly" but just teach a healthy respect for the things around us. It could be used as that I guess, but really lets not get carried away, it is just a kids book,"

"I read my child this book and I was really impressed. It was able to explain to my child why being vegan is so important and why animals do not have to be killed. The concept was simplified, but still effective. I know children do not usually find learning the most fun activity, but this book does not fall prey to this. My daughter wanted me to read the book to her every night and before I knew it I finished it. With the help of this book my daughter has been more open to eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat."

"This book is fine. I don't think it brings anything new to the table but I am sure your kids will enjoy it. My niece enjoyed it well enough and I think if you have a little girl especially she will enjoy it. Probably better options out there but this will do the job."

"Porkas does an impressive job creating a wide variety of delicious recipes under a vary narrow set of constraints. I got this book for my friend, who made me some of the Raw Vegan Lasagna and Apple Pie a la mode, and despite not being a vegan myself I practically begged her to let me borrow the book."
