WHAT’S THE MEANING?
Video enhancing is a post-processing technique that involves color alteration and enhancement of a motion picture digitally. While video enhancement and video fixing are interchangeably used from time to time, the latter is used to describe a task they are performing, and it literally means correcting problems of the video using a video-editing software. It includes exposure adjustments, white balance problems, color correction, just to name a few.
DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that according to studies, introverts can make the best film editors? The long hours of working, the painstaking hours of viewing footages in dark rooms—these are just some of the tedious works of film editors and these are not something an extrovert would want to do because they are highly solitary. More than some of the technical things that they focus on such as the motion effects, filter and transition effects, color correction, and titles, they are also responsible for shaping the emotional content of a scene.
Film editor of The Hunger Games and The Revenant, Stephen Mirrione, once said that film editors are alchemists who rely on instinct and feeling, for they would place themselves in the shoes of their audience. Moreover, their power transcends the corner of those dark rooms for they can also request for more additional shots from the director should the editor find a discrepancy in the element of continuity in the filmed shots.
