"I love games with a great storyline. There seems to be a million "shoot em' ups" so these days I need to find one that will also be engaging in terms of story development. Mass Effect Trilogy has that in spades. There are 75 hours of content so I was fully immersed. I just need to get back to work and remind myself that it's just a game ;]"

Game itself is extremely dated, PS1 era, so a part of me suggests waiting for the remaster of it. Which will come out sometime in 2030 at the rate SE produces RPGs."

There are a lot of very positive Steam reviews, a good sign in my book., though I should note this game was first released in 2003, so there's been lots of time for people to review. But folks keep buying (at a very reasonable price) and playing it, so I'm in!"

"Valiant Hearts looks like a graphic novel and plays largely like an adventure/puzzle game and takes place along the Western Front during WWI. The storyline may be fictitious, but there's plenty of facts and figures handed out during gameplay which also makes it a good historical primer on the war. The game feels a bit long for what it is and some game mechanics eventually feel repetetive, but getting to play as each of the 4 main characters at various times helps break up some of the monotony. The real star is the art direction and story-telling which ultimately transcends the usual "war is hell" tropes to deliver a satisfying and emotional drama."

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis is a modest push into video game story telling. "You'd expect so much more from these guys, but the game play on this was terrible! First, the graphics are just too cartoonish. I know, it's based on the Fables comic books, but that's no excuse for the lack of textures and lazy shading. The game mechanics, though, are utterly broke. I wasn't thrilled: I was bored, and my choices didn't really seem to matter. Even the one somewhat graphic murder was barely a reprieve from the insomniac cure this game turned out to be. "

"It is actually a pretty interesting concept. I've read the basic plot and some story lines. Of course it is a bit far fetched but it is a video game, so it's to be expected. With that being said, this plot works and is different. It is a bit morbid and bitter sweet because the story is basically about bucket lists; however it also gives you more freedom and creativity because it is about bucket lists...you can make it whatever you like. Not for all audiences though...not that it is offensive, but from the comprehension and entertainment points, this is not for kids."
