"You can't beat Jung with Campbell editing. He has so much more to say about human psychology than Freud, who always lacks something due to his misogyny."

"I am a fan of many of Gram Greene's writings. This book is however very eclectic in content. Of cores this also means there is a little something for everyone. My main reason acquiring for the book was the written story of "The Third Man." Not the screen play. I did not realize how much of the feel of the movie Graham Greene was. This is a review of the Penguin classic and there are no pictures or diagrams; just pure Graham Greene writing edited by and with a helpful introduction by Philip Stratford."

"I like to read about the vikings since this is where my family is from. We used to live in the Iceland country but now moved to America. This book is a fictional story but I think it is still good and interesting, especially if you're a viking!"

"I vaguely remember covering the Harlem Renaissance in an American Lit class I took in college, but it was a brief overview that didn't really do the topic justice. This also does not really do it justice, but it does provide broader coverage than my textbook from that course. Contains a variety of short-stories, excerpts, and poems as well as things like essays and speeches that paint an accurate picture of what was going on in this literary movement. It'll probably make you want to read more and more deeply, but it is, after all, a 'portable reader,' not intending to cover everything. "
