"Let me set the scene; Viking fan (the society, not the team) gets transported into Viking times. Does that sound fun to you? It did to me too, until I read the book. Hard pass!"

"Fun as always. Loved how the different pre cultures to what I am used to were shared. The characters were fluid and real and I actually cared about the outcome because of this."

"I found Fires of Winter to just be...okay. It's got the vikings, it's got the romance, it's got the steamy scenes and the action and the snappy dialogue. It's got all those elements. It's not a bad book. Yet, ten seconds after putting it down, I realized I couldn't recall one great line, one interesting scene, one thing that I thought, wow, I haven't read that before. And that was ultimately my impression here. I've read this book before. Maybe not this book exactly, but every single element in it. There is nothing new here at all."

"Let's face it; author Sandra Hill's writing style is enough to put me to sleep. This is a very sparsely-populated genre of book. To be honest, I can't say that I can think of another Viking romance series off the top of my head. But Minnesota and the Super Bowl is a better love story than anything that has come out of the Viking I series; I'd recommend skipping this one."

"This is pretty much just what I was looking for. I love romance novels and this is as cheesy as it gets, but it's right up my alley. I like the Viking theme. I don't think many others would love this, but I do."

"You've heard of romance novels, but you didn't know that there are very specific genres. When my cousin told me about Viking Romance novels, she suggested The Very Virile Viking at first because she said it would fit my style."

"The Hunting Season is a classic Viking Romance at its best. The characters are built up in a way that make you want to keep reading. The connections between them and the way the romance plays out is gripping."
