DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that the first recorded prank phone call was from 1884? This is according to Paul Collins also known as "The Literary Detective". He claims that he traced it from a newspaper printed way back February 2, 1884, "The Electrical World". The printed article was about a practical joke being played on the undertakers or morticians at Providence, R.I. Apparently, the prankster keeps demanding over the phone for the undertakers to bring stuff for individuals alleged to be dead. By the early 1900s, pranksters were using slips to deceive people into becoming prank callers themselves. Even though the identity of that first recorded prank caller has been lost to history, that person has started a trend that probably will never die.
In fact, practical jokes through telephones or prank calls are very popular worldwide nowadays. It somehow became a form of entertainment and is even being done live or on air. Even famous personalities are doing prank calls and the videos of actual pranking are being released. One of the tricks to achieve a successful prank call is to change your voice during the call through the use of any of these male to female voice changers. Moreover, there are also applications and software such as this list of voice changers for Mac which will help cover up the caller's real identity by creating a completely different voice or through sound effects.
