#2[TUTORIAL] How To Fix a Laptop That Won't Connect to Wifi
#3Easy FIX! Wi-Fi cutting out/dropping connections randomly
DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that the first laptop was invented in 1981 by Adam Osborne, a Thailand-born British man? Even though it weighed 24.5 pounds and didn’t have a battery pack, the Osborne 1 is considered to be the world’s first true portable computer because it can be hand-carried. The Osborne 1 came with a 5” CRT monitor, two floppy drives, and ran o the CP/M 2.2 operating system. At the time, it was worth $1,795. It wasn’t until two years after its release that the term “laptop” will be used to refer to portable computers, as they can be placed “on top of the lap.”
However, the true precursor of the modern-day laptop was the NEC UltraLite, released in 1989. The 5-pound computer looks like today’s laptop, with a keyboard at the base and a hinged screen that allowed it to have a “clamshell” form factor. The UltraLite was called a “notebook” and not a “laptop”, owing to its size that was comparable to a sheet of A4 paper. Back then, the term “notebook” was used to distinguish thinner and lighter portable computers from their bulky laptop cousins. Another notable progenitor is the Compaq SLT/286 that was released in 1988. Over the years, laptop computers improved in terms of both software and hardware.
