DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that Tinder has made over 20 billion matches since it was launched? With 57 million users around the world, this number is not surprising at all. The app was founded in 2012 in Hatch Labs, which is a startup incubator run by InterActiveCorp. Today, Tinder is used in 190 countries and is available in 40 different languages. It is also processing one billion swipes per day. The worldwide fame that Tinder enjoys seems unimaginable in its early days. It started its initial trials in a series of US college campuses. It was then that Tinder saw their potential to make it big. By late 2013, Tinder was processing 350 million swipes per day. Its rise was then followed by the creation of different apps similar to Tinder. Not all of those new apps though seem to duplicate Tinder's success.
Online dating has always been an active scene since the early days of the internet. But Tinder took it to the next level as it leads the pack of mobile-first dating apps. Online users have found the site as one of the best ways to meet someone online with a simple Tinder search. There are many ways to find someone on Tinder as the app allows very personalized personality matching. It's simple UX and social/geo matching ability seems to have made it the clear winners of the online dating scene.
