"I disagree with this, H2O is no where better than Apache. Apache is flexible because of ability to pick and choose various modules, has enhanced security (notable, because vulnerabilities typically are attacked in Windows-based machines), Has strong user-community support, and runs on UNIX, Windows, Linux, Mac OS. Best of all it is free and has no licensing fees. "

Did you know that there are different types of web servers? According to Serverpronto, Web servers use HTTP to allow access to the Internet. They search through and use HTML files that are sent to web browsers and translated so the user can understand them. It is also capable of accessing and storing other types of files, but they are often attached in some way to the HTML files it has, such as having images that are placed upon the HTML. There are four primary types of Web servers, these include Apache, IIS, nginx, and GWS. Today, Apache is the most widely used web server software. Developed and maintained by Apache Software Foundation, Apache is an open source software available for free.

According to instantssl.com, the top advantage of using Apache server is that Apache is similar to other types of open source options in that it can be customized through the use of modules. These modules will mesh or work with the main Apache system, allowing you to develop the system over time or create it all at once. This allows you to also use a variety of features from other similar platforms.  It is also a much lower cost option that many servers as the open source software is readily available. There are no ongoing licensing fees or other types of fees associated with other server options.

"I have recently started to get a number of requests to build websites for some local businesses so I thought it may be a good investment to purchase a web server to provide an additional service for my clients. Unfortunately, Cyberduck is not actually a web server. Cyberduck is a browser for FTP, SFTP and various other connections to web and cloud services. I was, however, happy to find Cyberduck because I was looking for a solution that worked on Mac OS since Filezilla doesn't."
