The manga has also received many accolades like the Shogakukan Manga Award and many more. In January 2019, the anime adaptation of The Promised Neverland premiered. Through the anime, people who don't read the manga can explore the lives of the main characters. The main characters are a trio which consists of the smartest and oldest kids in Grace Field. The protagonists are Emma, Norman, and Ray. What starts off as a simple orphanage story leads to a more complex storyline as it progresses. According to the creators of the manga, Emma is the most difficult character to draw. While Ray is the easiest.
Aside from that, the voices of the main characters are drawn from various voice actors in different anime. You may be familiar with Ray's voice if you've watched Hunter x Hunter. Since Ray's voice actor is also the voice of Killua in Hunter x Hunter. The Promised Neverland's characters are interesting mainly because of their personalities. Particularly, the main characters and how their different personalities balance out each other. Emma, the female protagonist, is known to be athletic, family-oriented, and emotionally intelligent. Norman, on the other hand, is one of the calmest, smart and strategic kids in this story. Whereas Ray is book-smart and a little impatient and nonchalant. Although aside from the characters, the story unfolding is one worth reading.
