Who here is ready to watch Cats the musical online? Okay, we know you're excited. But before anything else, here's some Those Stars Could Have Been Part Of That Film news for you. Did you know that Anne Hathaway and Rihanna were actually tapped for roles in Cats? Alright, the movie adaptation of the Broadway show has been one of the most highly anticipated films since 2016. Yet, so much info has been shrouded in mystery, and the star-studded cast is one of them. Now, we're excited to tell you they are finally complete. And trust us, we think it was a nice casting decision. Still, we can't help but wonder, how would the audience receive Anne Hathaway and Rihanna as feline characters?

In case you didn't know, Anne Hathaway is no stranger to showing off her vocal prowess in the big screens. Remember Ella Enchanted and Les Misérables? Admit it, she was fantastic in both films. And by the way, the latter was directed by Tom Hooper, so it wouldn't be her first time working with the Cats director. Lastly, it wouldn't be her first time playing a feline character either. We've seen her as Catwoman in Batman: The Dark Knight Rises. So yup, it wouldn't be a surprise if Cats became an instant blockbuster because of her. Of course, we also think Rihanna would have slain the role of Bombalurina. If you come to think of it, the pop music artist is really the perfect mix of fierce and flirty. And that's exactly why we love Bombalurina, right? Unfortunately, both Anne Hathaway and Rihanna passed up on the chance because of scheduling conflicts. Well, maybe fate had other plans for them and for Cats!
