DID YOU KNOW?
Considered to be one of the best Marvel movies, did you know Black Panther landed ninth on the world's highest-grossing films of all time? And it was hailed as the Most Shared Movie of 2018! Directed by Ryan Coogler, it starred Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, and Danai Gurira. This action and science fiction drama movie was released on February 16, 2018. Black Panther's esteemed set of actors and actresses is one of the reasons why people have given a lot of positive reviews on this movie. Interestingly, co-stars Lupita Nyong'o and Winston Duke who play Nakia and M' Baku respectively were students at the Yale School of Drama at the same time.
Garnering a total earning of 1.185 billion USD, Black Panther is no wonder worthy of the hype people have been giving it since it first hit the theatres. The hype even went higher the moment people could already watch Black Panther online. The famous battle cry "Wakanda Forever" has also transcended beyond the confines of the plot of the movie into the pop culture diaspora. In fact, Chadwick Boseman, who played the role of T'Challa, gave the "Wakanda Forever" salute as he delivers a speech on the commencement exercises at Howard University--making it more iconic. On a related note, Michael B. Jordan, who played the role of Erik Killmonger, has always been in character even off-cam. He had kept himself isolated in a room apart from his co-stars. According to sources, that was his way to prepare for the character of Killmonger--a distant and in conflict with others.
