Where to watch Limetown online?

"Without knowing what our loved ones had sacrificed of themselves, how much are we willing to sacrifice for the truth?"

If you fancy a story of a secluded town and its over 300 missing residents, then Limetown is a new Facebook Watch series you can start obsessing over this weekend! This podcast-turned-web-series show stars Jessica Biel as the lead actress, playing the role of Lia Haddock. And let me guess, you are here because most probably, you have been an avid listener of the podcast show which the series was adapted from. Well, if the fictional podcast show produced by Two-Up production successfully sent chills down your spine, and by some odd reasons you crave for some more, you are exactly where you're supposed to be. Inspired by the investigative journalism genre, the drama series Limetown follows the misadventures of a sheer-willed journalist named Lia Haddock as she investigates the disappearance of its locals.

Yet, if you are worried about not getting enough ants in your pants, executive producers Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie are the same people behind the original podcast series of the same name. Moreover, just to get you more hyped up about watching Limetown, can we just say how invested Jessica Biel is in taking this role? If you have watched Limetown trailer for Facebook Watch, you could surely agree with creator Aker when he said they saw no one else more fit for the role of Lia. Not to mention that Biel also co-produced the show! Among other Facebook Watch recruits are Sorry for Your Loss starring Elizabeth Olsen and Turnt featuring Madeleine Byrne. And, if you happen to have the Facebook app on your smartphone, you can easily stream free Limetown episodes online!

    Limetown: From Reel to Real!

Did you know that the pilot episode of the podcast show Limetown almost never made it on air? Who would have thought this podcast series will be able to thrill everyone to bits just after soon it was released in 2015? It's actually pretty inspiring to know the real story behind the podcast hit Limetown. In an article written by Maggie Jones for Knox News, she revealed that the executive producers of the show Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie reached out to different media companies for the pilot episode. Well, they got rejected and decided to just make it available on iTunes. Guess what? In 2015, by some random twist of fate, good news came knocking on Akers' door, saying Limetown was featured on iTunes podcast homepage! After a short while, listeners and downloads of Limetown skyrocketed, making it the No. 1 podcast show on iTunes, became one Vulture's 10 Best Podcasts, and dominated almost all podcast apps!

Looking back, it all started when Akers and Bronkie attended film school at the New York University. The next thing we know is they already founded a company called Two Up Productions. But really, believe it or not, it's as if the universe conspired in helping them achieve their initial plan since 2015. The initial plan? Well, to turn the podcast into a TV series. With Akers and Bronkie's unprecedented efforts in pitching to different networks, their dream materialized in December 2018. Thanks to Facebook Watch, Limetown was given series order, comprising 10 episodes.
