You think every director is proud of all their films? Think again, because not all of them loved the product of their hard work, and Debamitra Biswal is proof. Yup, did you know that she has publicly disowned Motichoor Chaknachoor? Yes, you read that right. Her directorial debut didn't go as planned. It's a bit disheartening, don't you think? Apparently, it was because of 'silly ego fights,' which allegedly resulted in the Hindi film being taken away from her during post-production.
She even took to social media her frustrations over the supposed 'stealing' of craft. Well, who could blame her, right? After all, the time and effort she invested in the project had gone to waste. What she envisioned to be one of the best Bollywood films to date turned into a nightmare in just a snap. In a lengthy Facebook post, she thanked the crew, the cast, and everyone who has been part of what she called her toughest journey so far. However, she did it with so much regret. According to her, the film did not reflect her original vision for it, and she wished those who made the final decisions knew that. Still, she was happy and grateful that a few people got to see and appreciate her work. Currently, the rising director is also involved in a legal battle with Woodpecker Movies Private Limited over non-payment of dues. Whatever the outcome of this warfare is, we hope the industry remains as steadfast as Hollywood.
