Star Wars Episode IX is the ninth and the final installment of the Star Wars series directed by J.J. Abrams, written by Abrams himself and Chris Terrio, to be released on December 20, 2019. In this third and final chapter of the sequel trilogy, two of the most anticipated character developments are Kylo Ren and Rey.

Fisher has truly epitomized the role of Princess Leia in the Star Wars series. George Lucas, the creator of Star Wars, openly said that Carrie was extremely smart and talented and that she will always be the feisty and powerful princess of Star Wars. Indeed, the Hollywood has lost one of its most brilliant stars when Fisher died at 60 on December 27, 2016.
The show must go on. After her death, anticipations of Star Wars fan have gone higher as they look forward to what’s next for Princess Leia in the last installment of the series, Star Wars Episode IX, to be released in 2019. Looking back at the tough times experienced by the whole production team of Star Wars, they could have tweaked the role of Princess Leia on the Last Jedi, but they were already on the post-production phase, so they left all Princess Leia scenes untouched. When it hit the theaters, Fisher’s fans flocked to the movie houses and savored all her scenes. It is interesting to consider that the producers had bigger plans for Leia prior to the death of the actress. According to sources, Carrie once came up to Kathleen Kennedy, the Lucasfilm president, and jokingly said she’d better the forefront of Episode IX because Harrison was at the center on VII and Mark on VIII. Late Fisher thought would be her movie. “And it would have been”, Kennedy added. Yet, the biggest question today is “Will Princess Leia appear in Episode IX of the series?” No spoilers are allowed so brace yourselves as director J.J.
