The Great British Bake Off (often referred to as Bake Off or abbreviated as GBBO) is a British baking competition TV show. It was produced by Love Productions, with its first season premiering in 2010. The show has moved from channel and network over the years. It started on BBC Two with its first few seasons. Then to BBC One when the show was gaining popularity with audiences. It's most recent move it to Channel 4 though a three-year deal. The TV show is in its 10th season as of 2019. The show sees amateur bakers from around the country come in and battle it out with other fellow bakers. This is through a series of rounds that test their skills and creativity while trying to impress the show's judges. Eliminations will happen each round until only two contestants are left. They will then face off in the finals to become the grand winner of the competition.

The program was originally presented by hosts, Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc. They are joined by Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood to serve as the show's judges. Following the show's move to Channel 4, comes a change in presenters as well. Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig are the new hosts of the show. Paul Hollywood comes back as a judge but he is joined by Prue Leith this time. A spinoff of this show called The Great American Baking Show was made for American audiences.
