Did you know that Masaomi Ando directed the Jibaku Shonen Hanako-kun anime? A veteran in the anime directorial scene, Ando already has a few successful projects under his belt. Included in his works is the romantic drama Scum's Wish, which is one of the few available anime on Amazon Prime Video. He has also directed the anime adaptation of the psychological horror and thriller manga series School-Live! Then on March 18, 2019, G Fantasy magazine announced an upcoming TV anime adaptation of Iro Aida's manga series. Masaomi Ando stood up to direct while being animated by Lerche, an animation brand of Studio Hibari. Yasuhiro Nakanishi is the one who oversees and writes the scripts of the series. He made a mark in the anime industry for his works such as Carole & Tuesday, which is an anime on Netflix, and Descending Stories: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju. Mayuka Itou is the one assigned in designing the characters in the show, and Yuji Higa is its animation producer. The adaptation will feature the voice of Megumi Ogata as Hanako-kun. Also included in the voice cast are Akari Kito and Shoya Chiba as Nene Yashiro and Kou Minamoto, respectively. The Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun anime release date is on January 9, 2020, on TBS.
