"With a large screen, this laptop is perfect for browsing and watching movies, or programming. The performance specs are only so-so however, and this wouldn't make a great gaming laptop."

"I do not think this is the best laptop for programming. While it is a nice laptop, I feel that something that does not have integrated graphics, more ram, and a more powerful processor would be better for a programmer. You have to spend the big bucks to get a nice programming laptop, but it would be worth it in the end."

"The Microsoft Surface Pro is a cross-over between a laptop and a tablet. Its2.6ghz processor and 4gb of ram is more than enough for serious duty processing. However in order to program successfully on this platform, purchasers should buy the optional, add-on keyboard. Without it, it would be much harder to be able to program just using a touch-keyboard. So although the computer itself works very well the fact that you have to buy another add on in order to program is a bit of a drawback."

"This is a pretty good all around laptop. It is powerful, has a touchscreen, USB ports, optical drive and a touchpad. It is small and easily portable if you're a programmer who is always on the go. The touchscreen can also be helpful in selecting parts of code you want to quickly delete (that mouse can sure jump around!) This computer is powerful enough to quickly compile code, has a wireless card that can keep you connected to remote servers easily, and is a Dell, which has been known for quality in the past. "
