"As wine apps go, this is a good one to try out. My concern with it is that usability has taken a hit with recent updates. Not a fan of the UI that much as well as browsing through wine lists. Hopefully, they address this in future updates."

DID YOU KNOW

Everyone knows a thing or two about wine but did you know that one particular movie released in 2004 affected the sales of Pinot Noir and Merlot? "Sideways" is a film that follows the story of two men going for a wine tasting in Southern California's Wine Country. Apart from its toll on Merlot, the film garnered numerous nominations and awards. If you're a fan of Paul Giamatti then maybe you can consider this as one of the best Paul Giamatti movies. He plays the part of Miles Raymond who explicitly expresses his love for Pinot Noir and his distaste for Merlot. Such is depicted in his delivery of the most memorable line associated with the movie "If anyone orders merlot, I'm leaving. I am NOT drinking any f****** merlot!"

Since the movie debuted, Pinot Noir has been established a staple in California while the state of Merlot still staggers in sales. Truthfully, there is nothing wrong with Merlot. Merlot, after all, it is only one of more than 10,000 varieties of wine grapes all over the world, each with their own unique smell, balance, depth, and finish. The quality and taste of wine basically boils down to the manner it is cultured and in which region it is cultivated from. Wine just as it is could already be so complexed at the same time intriguing. There are books about wine that can fill you in with notable facts, stories, and maybe even give you some insight as to how you can develop a sharp palate. So the next time you're going for a wine tasting, keep an open mind and free yourselves of bias. It's good to remember that "to each their own!"

It lets me put in my wines I have tasted and I can even get a discount on wine accessories through the app. I can earn badges, read ratings and reviews of fellow wine tasters and also publish a review of my own.
