"Anton Chekhov, a great playwright and story teller does not disappoint with "The Cherry orchard." Easily one of his best works if not the best work. It's funny, its drama, its pure entertainment and great story telling."

"I'm not sure if it's fair to call this Anton Chekhov's best work, but it is his only full-length work. I enjoyed some of his short stories and plays more, but The Shooting Party was a good novel, if a shorter-than-average one. It's got an interesting mystery, but the most interesting part is the way it plays out, with lots of drama and opulence. I felt it gave a good look at human nature too."

"I don't personally think Three Years is one of Anton Chekhov's best works. While it does paint an interesting picture of life in Moscow in the early 1900's and the interpersonal relationships of humans alive in that time, the story isn't as unique or vivid as some of his better writings. It's worth a read if you are a devoted fan of his work. Otherwise, try one of his more famous stories or plays."

"Still one of the great Anton Chekhov stories. As the title indicates, the core characters in the play are three sisters. They all reside with their brother. An artillery unit is stationed nearby. During peacetime, as this is, the military really is not fighting or engaging. It is through these types of interactions that Chekhov writes about the various hopes and dreams of the sisters as woman in the late 19th century. "

"This is a prime example of Anton Chekhov's work. Such a great story and playwriter, and this is truly one of his finest examples of creativity. I very much enjoyed this book when reading it for college class, and I'm not even one to like books too much."
