"The Secret History and the Little Friend is a coming of age story written by Donna Tartt that is set in the decade that follows the second world war. I found it to be a mesmerizing and dramatic story from a beautiful writer that knows how to develop characters and share her vivid imagination."

"Donna Tartt has written a number of very interesting pieces. I really enjoyed this one and thought that Robin was a very interesting character and written with more complexity and depth than most."

"Donna Tartt is a well known author who has published a number of books. This book, A Christmas Pageant, is a collection of short stories. While I found this book to be interesting, it is definitely not one of her best works. Instead, I would recommend that one starts with The Secret History, which was published in 1992 and established her as a major author. If you have read her major works of fiction and then want to still read more from her, then I would recommend picking up this book."

"There is a thing in books, movies, tv, etc... that makes me crazy and that is going over the same thing over and over and over again. This does just that when Theo is going through a bender. It gets really annoying to me and I start saying, "let's move the bleep on already." Other than that, the book is fine, but it was annoying enough to me to not recommend this. "
