"My history teacher assigned this book as one the books he's encouraging us to read. Though I read it last summer, I can feel the Christmas atmosphere. Charles Dickens was able to convince me that it's a no joke to be very poor during the Victorian age. "

"This dystopian book reminded me of the 1984 book. Just that in this book, it's more of simple pleasures and happiness of the characters and it's something that makes characters not so "likeable""

"When I was in high school, my English teacher required us to read this book for our book report. This fictional mystery is a page-turner because as a reader, it makes me curious what's gonna happen next. The author narrated a good investigation story about King Richard III's alleged involvement with crimes."

"I found this book to be good overall. While it is set in WW2 it isn't just focused on the war itself, but has points of views of others. The chapters are short and there is a jump of perspective to different characters which can be a little jarring. Overall not a bad read."
