"Writer is a good application for when your are away from your computer and need to write down your thoughts and ideas. I use it not to write novels but to keep work notes and journal entries for job site visits. It would work great for novelists as it is mobile and one can write anywhere you have coverage with your cell or tablet. Really, a handy tool to have to keep organized when you have to write a lot of data down. "

"I used Editorial as a simple, lightweight, and streamlined text editor on my smartphone. It made it a lot easier to take notes and keep organized, as well as to stay up to date on my writing whenever inspiration struck. The DropBox sync was especially useful, as it let me transfer files from my phone straight to my home PC and visa versa."

"This is an okay solution based on the topic. While the link did not bring me to the goodle docs app - there is one. This would be a good tool for novelists to use because you can take it anywhere you go. But since this is not a link to an app it is not the best solution based off of the topic wording. "

"This is a great looking and simple app for anyone who wants to do light writing or taking notes. The interface is perfectly tuned for writing on your Mac. This is a great application for both desktop and laptop use. However, this is not an iOS app, so it is not what I am looking for here."

"While it's true there are many apps out there to help you write your novel, bookwriter stands out with its pretty and intuitive interface. I have been writing with ease, never losing any notes and bookwriter has been so useful in organizing all my notes and thoughts in a useable way. I can even add pictures where I want them with ease too! If you've got an iphone this is the app to get to plug out your novel with ease and sophistication. "Pages is a nice free app for IOS if you are looking to do some basic writing. It works great to share with other IOS users who also have the pages app. However, if you are a serious business person looking for an app to use with coworkers/clients/ etc this is not the tool for you. It is not compatible with office, which is the program of choice for many businesses. I have spent tons of time creating documents in pages only to be told by a client they could not open my work - very frustrating!"
