WHAT'S THE MEANING

A zombie is a fictional undead created through the reanimation of a human corpse. It's done through various methods, the most common of which was magic.

The origins of zombies come from the Caribbean island of Haiti. It only became known to the West due to the US occupation of Haiti from 1915 to 1934. George Romero released his groundbreaking film Night of the Living Dead from 1968. It became about mass outbreaks where the dead rise up to consume the living. Any cause given is fragmentary and inconclusive, with a cure even more so. The reasons for how and why zombies exist is a mystery, bordering on the impossible. So why has it sparked such a morbid curiosity and fascination for the undead in us? There is no shortage of zombie-related themes in today's media. From zombie movies and TV shows to zombie games, there are plenty of things to help us with our curious itch. Zombie games, in particular, have always been a popular theme for developers. The best Xbox One zombie games as well as for the PS4 are plenty. One interesting train of thought why is because this being is a reflection of ourselves. The human condition. Much like zombies, we too can sometimes lack emotion, lack joy. Only feeling the relentless urge to consume. Consuming the world. This is a plausible theory and one that might be true. This is likely why zombies and things related to them are so interesting to consume and analyze.
