"Renagades is an obvious attempt to cash in on the success of movies like the Hunger Games. Marissa Meyer has followed that blueprint to a T which makes for a boring read."

"Eh. It does fit the timeline i was after but the book itself isn't great. Basic , cliche filled writing that does nothing to inspire the imagination or really engage me. I feel i can do much better in this genre. I will search elsewhere for something better."

"This was a "just ok" book with a really good ending. I had a bit of a problem with the journey to the end, but the ending was SO good that I'm having a hard time putting the whole work into perspective. It's just a shame that the rest of the book couldn't quite live up to the ending."

"I really liked this book! It's a great coming-of-age book that focuses a lot on love and family and it kept me entertained the whole way through. It also throws in some music angles that just keeps the story young and hip. "

"This is a great magical realism novel. Released November 2017 it has a unique story line and will draw you along for the ride. Be aware that in places it does get a little scary, if your YA is easily frightened."

"I am a big music fan, and I think I know of some sites that would allow me to browse and rank music releases from a particular month, but I do not know of any such resources for books, so I'm not sure how I would go about assessing the best books from a certain month. I think it would be safe to call it a rather good young adult book from November 2017. I would have preferred a bit more emphasis on world-building with less attention paid to the main character's interpersonal issues, though."
