"The Outsiders is a classic, full stop. The fact that S.E. Hinton was a teenager herself when she started writing this story of two rival gangs is almost unbelievable and certainly makes my teenage accomplishments pale in comparison. If you haven't read this book, read it now. If you have, you owe it to yourself to read it again."

"This is one of the few books I can think of written by a teenager, let alone a whole series. It is critically well received, and has a lot of fans all over the world, so the quality is there. It's not a complicated series, so the act of reading it is relatively simple, but you'll be engaged the whole time. You could do much worse than this book series."

"I was looking for some books to get my teenage daughter into reading and I ordered this and had it shipped to the house. She wasn't really into it at first, but once she started she really loved it. As it is written by a teenager as well, it really focuses on a lot of the issues kids are dealing with today. It really has the main character in a lot of different situations that would really seem familiar to a teenager. My daughter loved it so much, we will be buying these books in this series as they are released. A really great book."

"I absolutely love this book. It's deep, thrilling, and educational all at the same time. The tale of a disturbed 8 year old girl feels very realistic and sucks the reader in. The author's knowledge of Nigerian culture is shown through details that add authenticity to the story. I would recommend this book to readers of all genres. "
