"Dumb beyond words. The science fiction world never seems to have anything original to say anymore they just seem to keep recycling the same stuff over and over. They just keep giving us the same plot stupid head in the clouds girl- a bimbo really- must save the universe with the help of sassy fairy tale creatures. I wanted the main character to be eaten- I disliked her so much, but of course she is not and I had to suffer through all of her adventures and all of the stupid explanations of each creature she meets. I read the entire series multiple times throughout my childhood, and enjoyed reading through them again with my own children. The movies that have been made of some of the books just don't capture the magic of these books. Everyone should read them!"

"An interesting combination of a bunch of other kinds of games. Unlike a lot of attempts to copy or ride after other games, this attempt kind of works I think. It takes good parts of other games and pulls them together. It's like a book that has all the boring parts left out. You get the combo strings of a nice fighter game, the easy movement of a click based RPG, and some fun puzzles and platform elements. It just works for me, and I like it."

""Hush, Hush" is definitely a fantasy story but with a paranormal romance twist. In fact, it is the overlying theme. If someone is a fan of 'Twilight' then they will likely enjoy the path the main character takes named Nora. Even more so, the anti-hero Patch caught my attention the most as being the enigmatic bad boy that Nora cannot seem to stay away from through her journey. I wanted to like this book more than the actual experience ended up being when I finished the last page. I found myself frustrated with Nora's decision-making abilities overall. She was in a state of perpetual confusion!"

If you enjoy Harry Potter or any series that deals with mythology and magic, then The Lightning Thief is the book for you. I have also found that adults enjoy reading the book as well as it provides good insights on the pre-teen mentality."

Despite how long and complex this story is, there are very few slow, boring parts. I even enjoyed the discourse of the sea serpents (I'll admit I'm a very patient reader). The first book, Ship of Magic, was my favorite because of the way in which the story unfolded quickly and unexpectedly. Mad Ship and Ship of Destiny were slower to develop and were more predictable but were excellent nevertheless."
