"The Darkest Powers is a decent novel from a well known author but I wouldn't consider it a contender for best Young Adult series. With competition like Harry Potter and the Hunger Games, it's hard to say that the Darkest Powers can stand among them."

"Although the books sounds like a fantasy book at first, it mainly covers friendship and family issues. There are many great young adults books out there and I do not think The Iron King can be even considered as a candidate for being a best YA series. "

"When it comes to books, I would not consider myself a fantasy fan. This is a fantasy book, but does not play heavily on the genre to a degree that you would put it down for being too much. The story can get a little slow at times as others have said, however the build up is something worth waiting for. "

I liked it anyway, and if you buy it all ready you'd be loving it by now. Book is worth the money."
