" I didn't particularly like our protagonist Sam for most of the novel. She wears the moniker 'bitch' unapologetically and seems to pinball from one social scene to the next swaying under the banner of peer pressure and grasping to remain at the precipice of the social hierarchy. Then about halfway through the novel things changed. Sam became much more interesting, her choices became more altruistic. I laughed so hard in her 'rebellious' day it added a much needed punch to a novel I was starting to find boring."

"The reader sounds fine, nothing great like but adequate. I suppose adequate is what I'd use to describe the book too. It's alright. I was a little bored by it. It would be decent for a young teenager though, not for me. "

"A fun book. Something different from what I usually read. I was surprised by how wrapped up in the story I got. I found myself going back and forth between team unicorn and team zombie for much of the book. "

"I'm not familiar with this writer but the book seems to have enough intrigue to keep a young reader's attention. When I was younger and reading fiction all it really took for me to really get into a book was a really good hook and this book has that in spades. Even though there may be some plot problems throughout I think this would be a solid choice for any young reader, whether it is one of the best is something you will have to decide for yourself."

"I'm not sure how far this will push anyone, in terms of what they read. Well, okay! Better, this is something I see enjoyed much more by younger readers, just because it offers a connection. I will say it's a solid book, just not for me."
