"A nephew of mine recently was diagnosed with cancer, so I bought this for him to help him get his head and heart around the new situation. He says the book was legitimately helpful in his acceptance process, so I think I made the right decision on buying this."

"Nicholas Sparks has mastered the ultra-romantic book-turn-movie genre. There is not a story of his that doesn't make me cry. Especially, A Walk to Remember, where the young female lead reveals she isn't making any plans for the future because she is suffering from cancer. Cue the water-works."

"This may be one of the few popular books about YA and cancer, but honestly that doesn't mean it's the best one. My best friend recommended this one as the best Green book she'd ever read, but honestly I just found it really depressing and a little self absorbed. I'd read Turtles All the Way Down instead personally."

"This book was alright, but I could have gone without reading it. The book was kind of melodramatic to me. I felt like the book was trying to hard to be sad, which kept me from really becoming engaged in it. It took me a while to read through it due to my lack of enthusiasm. After a couple of weeks I returned the book to the bookstore I bought it from. I was quite disappointed with this book and I would not read it again."
