"hmmm.... not sure what to make about The Hobbit on this lsit. I'm pretty sure there are no faeries in The Hobbit! So although its a great book, for a list of novels with faeries I don't rank it highly - because you can find exactly zero faries in this book. :P"

"Lord of the Rings only partially satisfies the topic at hand. While it has fantasy elements that are adjacent to the concept of faeries, The Lord of the Rings contains little if any content about faeries themselves, and they certainly are not the focus of the novels. I enjoyed part of the story, but it was not what I was looking for."

"I bought this book for a friend's young teenager. I didn't intend to read it but I have a habit of flipping through books before I wrap them up as a gift. This one struck me as interesting because it involves anti-hero concepts along with magical elements that have some sprinkling of science. Of all things, a fairy is taken hostage but I don't want to give away too much."

"It seems to meet all the criteria of age specificity and faeries. So I guess that tells us everything the question asks us. As to the best? Who knows, but it is well received, with a 4.5 enthusiasm rating out of only some fifty readers. Sure it is relevant"

"This author knows how to develop characters unlike anyone else. Just wonderful overall and the world is just astounding. The story however in my opinion is not as good as the first but even then it's phenomenal. Give it a read if you have the time."

"I really enjoyed this book when I was younger. So much so that I gave to my niece as a birthday gift. She likes it too now. The book really ropes you in. It is the classic story of the false leader, banishment, and redemption. It has an interesting take on faeries and places them in the real world. Kind of reminds me of the Fables comic books. Highly recommended for angsty teens who love fantasy. Excellent writing too! You will find yourself stuck reading this book for hours."
