"What's not to love with The Walking Dead??? The TV show was great and the game is excellent. But what I like about this game is that you get to make your own story. Granted that it really forces you to make certain decisions and gives you the illusion of free-will by giving us choices, but it kinda let you feel that you are there, at the thick of things, about to lose your life, or about to lose a valued friend. Great game and great value for your money. I would recommend this to all zombie-haters. LOL!!!"

"I've always been a fan of the zombie genre. It doesn't matter if it's a movie, game, or book, if it has to with zombies, I'll like it. So, I started looking for a zombie game on Steam and came across "Resident Evil HD Remaster". This game is great! It has an awesome classic feel too it and the combat system is very fluid. The zombies also have realistic movements. Awesome game!"

"I am always wary of sequels. You know, the original game was successful so why not launch another for a cash-grab? It always feels like that to me. However, I took the chance on Dying Light: The Following and I was blown away. It is totally immersive and there's never a dull moment. Oh, I know there is some wait time, what game doesn't? But this game completely messed up my sleep cycle and debunked the myth about sequels in my head."

Did you know that society’s obsession with the zombie genre has been attributed to our fascination with constant tragedies and our out-of-control society? For countless of years, much media-related content that tackles the possibility of a zombie apocalypse has attracted a plethora of fans. From games to TV shows, the aspect of reanimated corpses out to get the living, and causing the downfall of civilization, has brought its audiences interest and a willingness to partake. The freedom that a zombie outbreak might bring to a regular person is exhilarating and tempting, to say the least.

Plenty of computer, console, and mobile games, TV shows, and movies give people the chance to see the undead get slaughtered in new and creative ways whilst avoiding questioning their own morality. The fact that Marc Forster’s World War Z movie, starring Brad Pitt and based on Max Brooks’ bestselling novel, raked in $540 million, making it one of 2013’s ten biggest blockbusters, despite reports of the film’s troubled production, budget issues, and negative comments from critics. Zombie-related media have been rising and falling for the past few years, but one thing stays sure: zombies will always hold a special place in every fan’s heart.

"Plants vs. Zombies. Now this game takes me back to less trying times. You don't need to be a genius to play this game. All you have to do is understand which plants are best against certain kind of zombie, and voila, you can clear them out. The game also doesn't require a high-end gaming platform. And really, you can lose yourself in the game. I have found myself wasting away half the day just playing PvZ."

"I don't really like violent games but after I watched the Resident Evil movies, I kinda understand why the game had to be built this way. Now that I understand the storyline, I also understand that you just really need to whack those monsters. But what I like most about this game is that it is not simply about destroying the undead. This game needs you to have a keen mind. If you don't have that, you'll be playing this game forever because you won't get past certain levels without your brains. "

"Zombies scare the heck out of me, okay? If I see a kid with a skinned knee or a wino who's had too much ripple I swear the apocalypse is upon us. I watch The Walking Dead through my boyfriend's sweater so I can barely make out what's going on or else I get too scared. But I *love* craft and build games. So basically I just focus on grinding and making stuff and kill zombies with my eyes half closed. Voila. Now I know how to be useful when the apocalypse *does* happen. Lol."

"Call of Duty is my favorite go-to game. I used to play CoD titles casually, at least until I started World at War. Now I don't play anything else. This game provides an alternative ending to the WW2 and really, the way things are going these days, we could be facing this kind of situation. But instead of zombies, well, there are worst things than zombies."

"This game has one of the better graphics in this genre. The gameplay is cool and the storyline allows a lot of creativity to come into play. I would really categorize this as a strategy game, but then again, zombie hordes dominate the gameplay, so zombie game it is. But you gotta be able to hold your own against swarming undead. Or else, you won't get far and you'd find yourself chucking away your PC if you can't get past a level. HAHA"

"H1Z1, in my experience, is a too-little too-late comer to the genre of sandbox survival games avaiable on PC. By this point in time, Player Unknown's Battlegrounds presents a much more refined version of the formula that makes this genre work, and there's little reason to play H1Z1 now. "

It veers away from your normal and typical zombie game where you just need to shoot, this requires more long-term strategic moves."

"I've been wanting another zombie game to add to my game collection, so I ended up buying "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard", while this game looks great, the movement is lackluster and the combat system is clunky. The story seems to be all over the place at times, making it hard to follow. This game has potential to be good once they work those things out. At the moment, it's not worth buying. "

I don't think it's necessarily a negative or a positive, there are far better options on Steam (off the top of my head, I can think of left 4 dead 1, and 2.) I wasn't ecstatic about this one."
