  1. 1It is brutal as it can get

    19

We all know that the past Mortal Kombat movies all have brought the action and gore to the big screen in a lot of ways. Well, Scorpion's Revenge's R-rating is very much justified by all the violence that the trailer shows. If you're looking for a Mortal Kombat film that is actually violent and action-packed, then this might just be what you have been looking for.

  1. 2Scorpion gets a lot of exposure

    13

Fittingly so, Mortal Kombat series creator Ed Boon's favorite character occupies a lot of screen time for the new film, at least via the trailer. Of course, the trailer indicates that the story will somehow revolve around Scorpion. If that is the case, we just hope that the undead ninja brings out his fatality a number of times for every one of us to be left in awe.

  2. 3We can hear familiar voices

    7

If you can recognize some voices in the Scorpion's Revenge trailer, that is because you might be familiar with a lot of them. A star-studded cast with the likes of Joel McHale as Johnny Cage and Jennifer Carpenter as Sonya have come to lead the film's dubbing line-up. Plus, Patrick Seitz, who voices Scorpion in the video games Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe and Mortal Kombat X reprises his role for this new project.

  1. 4It screams '90s animation all over

    2

If you've watched a lot of action scenes from the Batman animated series during the 90s', you'll probably get a lot of the same vibe from the Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge trailer. The visual style as compared with other animations from that era is strikingly similar and we are not complaining at all. For the first animated release for the franchise, it sure looks pretty cool.

  2. 5It's going to be classic Mortal Kombat

    0

Based on previous Mortal Kombat films. we know that the element of dueling will always be a part of the franchise. This new movie looks like it contains pretty much a lot of things and characters from the past films, but with the liberty of animation. You can expect to see more extensive battle scenes and fatalities, though.

"Actually, this is true but if compared to those other martial arts anime, this is less gorey. Still, I like to see Scorpion and Sub-zero smash all their opponents in Scorpion's Revenge"
