For Otakus, watching anime series knows no season. Regardless if it's winter, spring, summer, or fall time, it's going to be an all-year-around must-do. As we ended the blistering winter and shrugged off snow, it seemed like anime producers were busy stocking up on anime shows we can binge-watch the whole spring. And just like the birds that start to chirp outside your windows as the trees and flowers blossom once again, spring 2020 in the anime industry brims with great comebacks and unexpected extensions.

While we were saddened by the finale of Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma: The Fourth Plate last December 2019, fans can now rejoice as our main protagonist's culinary journey is not coming to conclusion yet. In fact, this April 2020, Food Wars! Season 5 is finally hitting several streaming platforms. On a related note, giant anime outlet Funimation has officially dropped a bombshell when it announced that Sword Art Online: Alicization War of Underworld made it to the roster of titles that are coming in spring 2020! We hate to be the bearer of bad news but it's going to be the final set of episodes for Sword Art Online. Just think of it as a bonus season for the yearning hearts of anime lovers! Meanwhile, if you haven't seen the teary recap in the new trailer of Fruits Basket Season 2, make sure to grab a box of tissue because you are going to bawl your eyes out. Fruits Basket will also be available in April 2020. So, to those of you who worry about not having enough reasons to be alive this spring, this page can be your daily dose of inspiration to look forward to something exciting this April! Here's the list of the much-awaited anime this spring!
