What are the most compelling reasons to watch The Feed?

Stories that are set in dystopian futures receive criticism in a different fashion. It's not so much the plot that faces critique but rather the boundaries of logic that it retains or defies. The show, "Black Mirror" is a perfect example of a modern Sci-Fi series that goes well and beyond this idea. Each episode aims to tap the collective unease in each person. Their beliefs, their ideas, their principles are all influenced by each story.

Of course, with the success of the show, it was only a matter of time 'till a new series comes to contest. Luckily, Amazon stepped up to the plate with their new ten-part series. Enter: The Feed, a technology-based dystopian thriller. If you're a fan of Black Mirror and Years And Years, then you're going to love this show. It all begins with the introduction of a new type of technology called "The Feed." Each piece of tech is implanted in everyone's brain. It eliminates the need for verbal communication. Not to mention the need to travel and practice new skills. With it, people become a walking WiFi system. But everyone also has the option to go offline whenever they please. Of course, there's also the potential threat of hacking. That's always a hazard to any cloud-based system.

With the world at your fingertips, wouldn't you want to take the chance? Take on the world of "The Feed," available now on streaming platforms. Still not convinced? Well, here's a list of the most compelling reasons to watch The Feed!

It features some seriously impressive tech

Fans will be happy to hear that this technology-based dystopian thriller is not just futuristic because of the setting. It also features some of the most wicked techs that you could think of. In the show's not-too-distant-future London, smartphones are lined up on a shelf like fossils from the past. Cameras are also obsolete because people take pics with a blink of an eye. The craziest thing would have to be the fact that you can access your memory storage like a normal drive. You can either relive those memories or delete them as you please.

It's made up of a stellar cast

With a stellar cast, it's no surprise that the series is doing very well and gaining a ton of notoriety. David Thewlis who starred in the Harry Potter franchise and Fargo is cast as the inventor of the Feed. Game of Thrones star, Michelle Fairley, also joins the fold as the matriarch and CEO of the Feed. Then there's the lead actor of Guy Burnet who's also been part of some notable projects. All in all, it's a pretty good cast. One to look out for!

The show's writer also worked in The Walking Dead

One of the show's executive producers, Channing Powell, is an expert when it comes to dystopian thrillers. She previously worked in Fox's hit television series, "The Walking Dead." According to her, The Feed presented an interesting opportunity in creating something never-before-seen. The idea that technology can be placed in a person's head seemed to hit a sweet spot with her. It's both intriguing and terrifying at the same time.
