It’s has been a long and bumpy ride but here we are, finally getting the closure we all deserve for sticking around. I mean I’m not the only one who wants to know whatever happened to the former Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano or the veteran clone trooper Captain Rex, right? But wait, it’s been six years since the release of the sixth season so your knowledge about the series may be a little rusty from the wait. No need to worry, we’re here to save the day!
To freshen your minds, Star Wars: The Clone Wars takes place in between 2002’s Attack of the Clones and 2005’s Revenge of the Sith. The Clone Wars, created by Lucas Graham and directed by Dave Filoni, aimed to explain what happened between those two movies giving more depth to characters like Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padmé Amidala. I could tell you more about the series but that would probably take forever (can’t help it, I love Star Wars) and bore you. So, to keep everything concise, how about just checking the most essential Plotlines of Star Wars: The Clone Wars to revisit before watching season 7? The list is down below so go and freshen up your Clone Wars knowledge before binging the final season!
While we all know that Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader, he was mostly still a hero in The Clone Wars. However, many scenes give light to his eventual transformation in the Revenge of the Sith.
The most important detail of the whole series lies in the deep connections of Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan. This was shown in season 3’s Mortis episodes, as well as their destinies and ties to the Force.
Probably one of the darkest episodes in The Clone Wars, the Umabra episodes show why Captain Rex and his comrades had a change of heart. It also explains how corrupt Jedi Master Pong Krell is driving Rex to serve the evil side.
This arc in The Clone Wars shows the beginning of Anakin Skywalker and Wilhuff Tarkin’s relationship. This budding relationship soon becomes a complex dynamic between Darth Vader and Grand Moff Tarkin.
Despite being cut in half in The Phantom Menace, Maul was able to come back again, playing a big role in the Siege of Mandalore. His survival and return were greatly fueled by his deep hatred for Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The bombing of the Jedi temple is the main reason that led Ahsoka to leave the Jedi Order. Framed by a crime she didn’t commit, the Jedi and Republic turned their back against her before she could prove her innocence.
