Having the luxury of binge-watching the best TV series available can be very fulfilling for us fans. What better feeling is out there than seeing your favorite character during the show's last episode after a season's worth of conflicts, or even multiple seasons more. We sometimes tend to be too attached to our favorite TV show characters and having to watch them endure hardships amidst unpredictable plots and storylines can be difficult. But that's where the beauty of TV characters lie right? Being able to stick in until the series' end despite all the uncertainties can be rewarded with a happy ending. However, this can not be the case for all our favorite shows.
In all of our binge-watching history, how many deaths actually made us cry? The most heartbreaking TV character deaths can appear in the most successful TV shows ever created. It is just how things are made so all the time. To make a story interesting, some deaths or a number of them are necessary to give justice to a story. We may say that even though we object to the saddest TV character deaths, it is all up to the writers to ponder on. The most heartbreaking TV character deaths often come at times when we least expect it. And when it comes, we are left shattered into pieces hoping for an almost impossible reincarnation come the show's next season. In this list, let us relive some of the most heartbreaking TV character deaths which we wish didn't happen or didn't turn out as brutal, at least.
What makes this one of the most heartbreaking TV character deaths is the fact that Ned Stark is a real hero, at least in the eyes of the GOT faithful. He embodies what a real protagonist for a beloved TV series is that is why hs cruel beheading in front of his daughters and all of King's Landing broke a lot of hearts and brought tears to our eyes. On a positive note, the culprit - the evil King Joffrey eventually met his time when he choked in front of a silent court with his parents staring.
Having your skull crushed in front of your wife must be a really horrifying site and one heck of a heartbreaking TV death. This is exactly what happened to The Walking Dead's favorite non-walker buddy, Glenn. After six solid seasons of survival and giving hope, Glenn eventually met his brutal death at the hands of Negan, ending his long journey. We all knew this was coming via the comics but his death is still heartbreaking and brutal.
Since the first season of 'Game of Thrones' began, we all knew Hodor as the loyal and gentle giant from Winterfell. His death is considered one of the saddest TV character deaths for the whole series. Holding the door opened up for Bran and Meera to escape imminent danger was hist last act of valor. We knew what he endured the whole time to protect Bran and his death is proof that he indeed fulfilled his duty until the very end.
Eleanor Crain's death in the horror series 'The Haunting of Hill House' must be one of the most recent haunting TV character deaths we know of. Her prophecies of a Bent-Neck lady since she was young proved to be a premonition of her own death, which makes her departure more creepy and heartbreaking at the same time. Although the first episodes already let us see a glimpse of her death, it still shocked viewers deeply.
Being a real dad figure can get the better of viewer's hearts that is why Bob Newby's death by being ripped and mauled to shreds came as a very heartbreaking death for a lot. Being a stepdad to Will and Jonathan has its repercussions and this is one that really got fans speechless. Bob's character grew on Stranger Things fans and his death via Demodogs seems very heartbreaking and unjust for a TV show character death, to say the least.
