Sporting his armor-clad physique, Boba Fett has sparked the interests of Star Wars fans everywhere despite his limited screen time and unpredictable appearances throughout the saga's timeline. Though he is not 'The Mandalorian', we can all agree that there is more to learn about this trigger-happy bounty hunter. Come check this list to find the most interesting facts about Boba Fett.
This famous bounty hunter has often questionable allegiances and motives as you can see in his appearances in the whole Star Wars saga. One thing is for sure though. He made his on-screen debut via the Star Wars Holiday Special which was released even earlier than the 1980 Star Wars sequel. What makes it more fun is that Boba Fett appeared in the tv show as a cartoon character while carrying a weird rifle that looks like a tuning fork. Not the way you exactly figured how his story would begin, right?
We know how and why clones are made. Their function and characteristics make them scarier than they already are, and although, Boba Fett is indeed a clone of Jango Fett, he was never really just a normal clone. He was basically created in the exact likeness of his adoptive dad, except that he was a perfect version with non-accelerated growth features. Sounds cool for a clone, eh!
Yes, Boba Fett and Luke's interactions go way back 'Return of the Jedi'. If not for Boba Fett being summoned by Darth Vader to hunt Luke, the series might not be the one we know it is. With the Star Wars creators blessing us with their amazing plot twists and storylines, Boba Fett has brought the evil Vader news upon Luke Skywalker's true identity, paving the way for a brutal and iconic father and son reunion which we all have witnessed.
Yeah, that was supposed to be his identity. He was supposed to be part of those evil Jedi-hunters. After all, Boba Fett wears almost the same exact armor that you see from those evil commandos via 'The Mandalorian'. Since fans didn't really have any idea about where he really came from, the assumption that he was a Mandalorian actually lived for quite some time. All credits though go to the Attack of the Clones film for truly exposing Boba's true nature in the form of Jango Fett's clone.
Well, Boba Fett's lifelong vengeful ideas towards Jedi master Mace Windu can be explained by this event that took place in the Battle of Geonosis. If you have watched 'Attack of the Clones', then you might find it brutal as well. Imagine him having to see a lightsaber cut right into his father's head? This formed his grudge which just adds up to a lifetime's worth of violence for the famed bounty hunter.
If this was actually what happened, this would have to be one of the biggest plot twists that the Star Wars Universe has ever seen. It might have been a few tweaks away from happening though as Mark Hamill himself had suggested that Boba Fett unveil his mask while revealing the face of Luke Skywalker's mother. What a way to rival Darth Vader's "I am your father" revelation, right? For the right reasons though, it did not happen as heavier plot changes in 'Return of the Jedi' were soon about to come.
They might not have exactly met each other during 'Attack of the Clones' but it is said that young Boba Fett certainly saw Anakin in action. However, it is said that George Lucas himself thought of having Boba Fett as the Dark Sith Lord's brother. We know that the Star Wars saga is crowded with dark family secrets and hard-to-fathom plot twists and if this had actually happened, how Lucas night have constructed their sibling story would be interesting to see.
Killing Mace Windu has been Boba Fett's lifelong ambition. This comprises his biggest hunt, more than those he has killed as part of his bounty hunter duties. Lucas revealed though, that this was almost supposed to occur during 'Revenge of the Sith'. If you are a fan who would have liked Boba Fett to get his revenge, then you might want to blame some budget constraints which made this plot be included in the final story.
