Not to mention, there's a new villain in town or rather villains. Wonder Woman's arch-nemesis, Cheetah, is set to debut in this film. Former Saturday Night Live cast member Kirsten Wiig is set to play the role. Pedro Pascal will also play Maxwell Lord. He's a shrewd businessman with close ties to the Justice League.     Wonder Woman's Golden Eagle Armor

    In the Wonder Woman 1984 trailer, there's a shot of Diana near the end wearing her new "Golden Eagle" armor. It was introduced for the first time in 1996's Elseworlds story Kingdom Come. Diana wore it right before heading into the front lines during a war. Since then, the suit of armor has been included in mainstream DC Comics. It was originally forged by her mother Hippolyta but they may try to switch things up in the movie.

    Wonder Woman rides the lightning

    One of the most surprising scenes in the trailer was when Diana used her Lasso of Truth on lightning bolts in the sky. It's something that's totally unheard of, it's never even been shown in the comics. But there has to be a logical explanation for it. One possible reason is that she's supposed to be the daughter of Zeus. Still, it makes you wonder why the DCEU never showed this ability in previous Wonder Woman films.

    Amazons training in Bana-Mighdall

    The Wonder Woman 1984 trailer features some scenes where Amazons are training in some sort of arena. Rumor has it that this place happens to be the remote Egyptian nation of Bana-Mighdall. In the comics, a splinter group of Amazons who left Themyscira was the first to settle in Bana-Mighdall. They left in line with their renouncement of the Gods of Olympus. They fled to seek revenge upon the men who had harmed their race.

    There have been rumors floating around that Wonder Woman 1984 will be the debut of Diana's Invisible Jet. Well, the trailer pretty much confirmed this to be true. It shows Diana and Steve Trevor inside a jet flying through a fireworks display. The invisible jet serves as a form of representation in the Wonder Woman comics. It's said to be a symbol of the way women were traditionally expected to be invisible in a man's world.

    Fans will be surprised to know that Chris Pine's character, Steve Trevor, is alive in Wonder Woman 1984. He was last seen in Wonder Woman as a heroic pilot who sacrificed his life to save the world. Now, it seems that Maxwell Lord's powers appear to have raised him from the dead. Diana is shaken up upon seeing him in an event that she was going to. What's interesting about it is that Diana was probably undercover during this time, so how did Steve know where she was going to be?
