The global film industry is a fan-driven sphere. Everyone knows that without people going to theaters to watch new movie releases, the business will fail to prosper. Just when Hollywood made a big noise with the Academy Awards, the proliferation of the dreaded coronavirus has seemed to quiet down moviegoers. As everyone knows, the disease has already caused a worldwide outbreak. Panic is everywhere as various countries have put a stop to school life, limited establishments' operations, and have worked on preventive measures to counter the widespread disease. Originating from China, the virus has affected lots of people in the country, not only from a health standpoint but as well as from a business perspective. As the movie industry's second-largest market, the coronavirus outbreak has contributed most to the concern of big movie studios.

The start of the year for Hollywood and the movie industry as a whole has been great. Great titles have emerged from around the globe and have been given recognition. 2019's best film Parasite barely made it right before the world started to panic. However, there have been a number of much-anticipated 2020 movie releases that are likely to be affected by the coronavirus emergency, that is if they haven't been affected already. Aside from canceled screenings, international fans also look at the impending delayed release of movies that have already debuted in America. With showing dates pushed back, productions halted, and fear taking over moviegoers, the movie industry has certainly taken a big hit. Will it get even or recover before the year ends? All is left to be seen yet, but for now, the safety of everyone is a priority before any business-motivated agenda. In this list, you will find some of the movies you might have been excited about but are most likely to be affected by the worldwide coronavirus emergency.
