For what it's worth, you must know that the Vietnam War had cost the United States 47, 000 lives in combat; Another 11, 000 non-combat deaths and over 150, 000 wounded Americans; The worst part is there are around 10, 000 people missing. The question here is never about who stood out victorious between the communist forces, comprising South Vietnamese guerrillas, North Vietnamese Army, and the anti-communist party that included the United States, alongside members of Southeast Asia Treaty Organization (SEATO). It is whether or not the longest war which America had been part of is worth the thousands of lives the siege had claimed from both military factions. One thing is for sure, in observance of National Vietnam War Veterans Day, this page is dedicated to honoring our men in khaki uniforms and baseball caps, emblazoned with pins and patches, who risked their lives in the bloody war from 1954 to 1975.

We can surely feel that the Vietnam War had made an impact even on the lives of ordinary citizens to a point where three different Vietnam wars were released in 1987. Hamburger Hill, Full Metal Jacket, and Good Morning, Vietnam landed on our list of the best Vietnam War movies of all time. A history buff can indulge in John Irvin's masterpiece Hamburger Hill (1987) if he is into a film that zeroes in on a single American platoon and the bloody mission they were involved in. Yet, as we look back on the arduous fight, it's never wrong to look at the silver lining of everything. Barry Levinson's Good Morning, Vietnam is a good dose of comedy-drama that earned its spot for the best Vietnam War films ever.
