Ekta Kapoor is raising the bar when it comes to producing content on the digital platform. After Nimrat Kaur's "The Test Case" web series, Ekta released an exciting new drama on ALTBalaji. "Class of 2017" is a web series based on a teenage drama that follows the lives of a couple of teenagers dealing with new-age melodramatic problems. But, this isn't your typical teen plot where they hang out in the school cafeteria and talk about their crushes. If that's what you were expecting, then you better prepare yourself because it's a lot more daring than that. Ekta has taken it upon herself to present an unembellished display of the life of young teens. The only problem is that these teens are highly influenced by hormones and usually make the wrong decisions in life. The ALT Balaji series held nothing back in showing these teens having sex, doing drugs, and drinking a ton of alcohol. To top it off, the web series does a great job of displaying the day-to-day struggles of school life. It could either be an academic competition, peer pressure, fitting in, or making the right decisions. Still, that's just the half of it. The other half involves getting wasted at parties, breaking the rules, making out, drug use, and school riots. If all that seems pretty interesting for you and you think that "Class of 2017" is one of the best Indian web series, we've got you covered. Here's a list of websites where you can watch it today!

You probably already know what the ALT Balaji web series "Class of 2017" is all about. It's a web series that revolves around the lives of nine teenagers that live inside a college campus. It's there that they explore their newfound freedom. Consider it like a coming-of-age story where the show underlines how peer pressure can influence teenagers. That same pressure can lead to them making some stupid decisions. It also showcases the vulnerable years of teens when raging hormones take over common sense. It's because of that fact that they dive head-first into the pool of rebellion all for the sake of popularity and social acceptance. So the checklist goes like this: wild pool parties, getting drunk, smoking weed, having sex. The show has been successful to an extent that it was renewed for a second season entitled "Class of 2020." It's pretty much safe to assume that the show is pretty "out there" when it comes to the themes it displays. Not to mention, it's using teenagers who are just going through high school as the medium. You would think the Class of 2017 web series is pretty original, right? Well, not quite exactly. Did you know that it's a remake of the '90s hit series "Hip Hip Hooray?"
Zee Tv's Hip Hip Hurray was a popular Indian TV show during the '90s. It aired in 1998 and was on the air up until 2001. The story was about a bunch of teens of 12th standard from DeNobili High School. The show was eventually regarded as a cult show that had a fresh approach while it dealt with sensitive subject matters. Subjects included dating, drugs, careers, and exams but they're all undertaken in a lighter way. Add to the fact that the show had a ton of comedy, drama, and emotion all mixed in together which appealed to a wider audience. This is a classic example of how shows have their own influences. The Class of 2017 full web series definitely took influence from "Hip Hip Hurray."
