If you're looking for an interesting Hindi movie to watch, you can't miss out on Guilty (2020). The Netflix original Guilty is under the direction of Ruchi Narain. The drama movie stars Kiara Advani and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor. You may know Kiara Advani as the lead female character in the Telugu film Kabir Singh (2019). The actress in one of the highest-earning Hindi movies is back with another project. In the Netflix film Guilty, she will be playing the role of Nanki. Guilty follows the story of a songwriter whose boyfriend ends up being accused of rape. Kiara's role Nanki is the said songwriter. Throughout the film, viewers will be questioning who is the guilty one. The accused or the accuser? The POV from the songwriter brings an interesting perspective on the situation. If you want a movie that tackles a real-life issue, Guilty is a must-watch. Kiara Advani's Nanki will be the center of the film despite the subject at hand not being directly about her. Nanki's boyfriend in the movie is the college heartthrob who gets accused by a small-town girl. This is how Netflix describes the movie in the first sentence which makes you think that Nanki is the said girl. Instead, the girl who accuses Nanki's boyfriend of rape is Tanu (Akansha Ranjan Kapoor). It also makes you think that the story will only be about the heartthrob and Tanu. Instead, it elaborates that the storyline will follow Nanki's perspective. In this case, she is the third person in the situation who becomes the core of the story. The Hindi-language Netflix original was announced back in April 2019. The film will finally be released to the public on Netflix on March 6, 2020.
Kiara Advani will be acting out a role that is the complete opposite of the character she's most known for. In the 2020 Netflix original Guilty Kiara Advani portrays Nanki, a feisty songwriter. Nanki is a far cry from her character Preeti in the Hindi movie Kabir Singh. Instead of a demure lady such as Preeti, Nanki is fierce and unrelenting. Even fans have pointed out that Preeti has become Kabir Singh. If you've watched Kabir Singh, you might know what kind of attitude the lead character has. Like Kabir Singh, Nanki's character is aggressive. At some point in the Guilty film, Nanki slaps the living daylights out of Tanu. Kiara Advani's Nanki is also different in physical appearance. Nanki has many tattoos littered on her skin and even a septum piercing! Don't expect Nanki to be like Preeti, because she's far from it. Whether that's a good thing or not, you have to watch Guilty to find out for yourself. If you're a fan of Kiara Advani, you'll enjoy watching her portray this edgy character.
Before Guilty, Advani has already established herself as an actress. Starring in two films that are one of the highest-grossing in Indian cinema. These are the Telugu film Bharat Ane Nenu and the movie mentioned earlier Kabir Singh. Advani mainly appears on Hindi movies so if you've watched a lot you might have seen her on the silver screen at least once. She once again proves her acting prowess and duality with Guilty to be released on March 6, 2020.
