Major film festivals worldwide have come together to announce the 'We Are One: A Global Festival' which will premiere on the 29th of May 2020. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of prominent festivals have otherwise been postponed or canceled altogether. But thanks to YouTube, we'll have the opportunity to witness some of the best programs throughout the year in this annual event. Be sure to check out this link as soon as it's released!
One notable festival that isn't part of the 'We Are One: A Global Film Festival' is SXSW. The 2020 SXSW Film Festival has placed its virtual selection and screening dates on Amazon. It will showcase over 40 shorts, features, and episodic programs to take part in the digital workaround. SXSW's virtual festival will stream from April 27 until May 6, 2020, in front of the paywall and you can see it along with the other Amazon Prime Video originals. That means that any user with an Amazon account will be able to access the content.
