Who are the best female characters in My Hero Academia?

Girl Power is a statement best expressed by the ladies of My Hero Academia! It comes to no surprise that in a Shonen anime like My Hero Academia, the cast is male-dominated. This doesn't mean we should miss out on the great female characters in My Hero Academia! Your favorite female character in My Hero Academia depends on your personal taste. If you're looking for a sweet yet shy character, your pick would likely be Ochaco Uraraka. Although Uraraka proves her capability to be a pro-hero later in the series, she stays herself. Uraraka is the main female character on My Hero Academia so we'll see her more often than others. This list includes the girls of UA Class 1-A which have different personalities. They all share a bond towards becoming the best heroes they can be despite their differences. Aside from Uraraka, each of her female classmates make up an ensemble with unique quirks. Out of the 20 students in Class 1-A, only six of them are girls. They are Mina Ashido, Tsuyu Asui, Ochaco Uraraka, Kyoka Jiro, Toru Hagakure, and Momo Yaoyorozu. Mina Ashido is also known as Pinky and she has an Acid quirk. While Tsuyu Asui is the girl with frog-like abilities. Kyoka Jiro has an Earphone Jack on her body which is also her quirk. Toru Hagakure is invisible. Last but not least, Momo Yaoyorozu has the quirk of creation. There are other female characters outside of Class 1-A that are worth mentioning. Some of them include the 18+ hero Midnight and the villainess Himiko Toga, among a few others.

Despite all that, you can't deny that these My Hero Academia girls are awesome in their own right! Aside from the anime and manga, you can see more of these kick-ass ladies on the My Hero Academia movie stream Heroes Rising once it becomes available to watch online. Who's your favorite female character on the list? Let's hear your thoughts on the comments section below!

    Ochaco Uraraka

Ochaco Uraraka is one of the main protagonists of the series My Hero Academia. This is why it comes to no surprise that we get to know her first before the other My Hero Academia girls. Uraraka seems like a shy and cheerful girl but there's more to her than her bubbly personality. Uraraka has a quirk called Zero Gravity which makes anything she touches float. Uraraka's quirk may seem not that strong but it's actually handy when it comes to close combat. Throughout her studies at UA, she improves her quirk as well as her physical ability further!

"How can you not love Uraraka? What kind of heartless person are you? If you do, welcome to the Uraraka love club! I just love how she constantly proves people wrong with her perseverance. I really think her reason for becoming a pro-hero is heartwarming and selfless and I will always root for her! :D"

    Tsuyu Asui

Tsuyu Asui is the definition of cool, calm, and collected. Most of the time she carries the team amidst a major crisis with her mental finesse. Asui's quirk is having the abilities of a frog. She has good leg strength, flexibility, and she can stretch her tongue wide. In times of peril, Asui is quick to take action and serves as a driving force. She is also a top-performing student who has equal physical and mental intelligence. If you want someone well-rounded, Asui is one of the best female characters in My Hero Academia in that area.

    Momo Yaoyorozu

Beauty, brains, and brawn, Momo Yaoyorozu has it all. Yaoyorozu is the Top 1 student in her class and fellow 1-A students rely on her during exams. Her quirk is the ability to create non-living objects that come out of her chest. She got admitted to UA through special recommendations instead of the standard test. Although she's great at exams and has an awesome quirk, she struggles in making decisions on the spot. Although as the story progresses, Yaoyorozu turns the worst situations into winning moments.

    Mina Ashido

Mina Ashido may not be the main character of My Hero Academia, but she definitely can't go unnoticed! How can you ignore her pink skin along with her Acid quirk? She has an arsenal of special moves she can do with her Acid quirk. Some of which include the Acid Veil, Acid Shot, and Acid Layback. Acid Veil is Mina Ashido's special move which is stronger than concrete. Ashido is not the brightest in academics but her charming personality stands out. Although Ashido has yet to prove her full potential, she's a character to watch out for!

    Kyoka Jiro

Kyoka Jiro's quirk is one that is close to her interest, Music. Jiro's quirk is the Earphone Jack which allows her to amplify her attacks on any surface. Her quirk lets her deafen her opponents. In regards to her personality, Jiro seems indifferent but is actually sensitive. She empathic for others and feels flustered when her talents are recognized. Kyoka Jiro is also known as the Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack given her quirk.
